• Child came to us with eruptions on face, chest, and hands since 5 months. He also gets recurrent Upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) whenever he is exposed to cold air and when season changes.
• Mother narrates that patient cannot sit in one place. He is always running around and is on the go. He is quite stubborn and wants things to be done according to his wish. If he wants something, he wants it & wants it now! He can go to any length to get his wishes fulfilled, he will throw a tantrum (scream, shout, and cry) or trick people by lying. He is violent towards parents and other children if things go against his whim and fancy.
• She says “He can threaten me if I would leave him with someone and when angry, he would start pushing me, start jumping off high places”. He loves music and dancing. He would play loud music on TV and dance and be jolly. He tries to tease parents and his elders by imitating them.
• Often in child cases we would like to know the Mother’s history during pregnancy as it helps the homeopath to unravel the deeper psychological aspects of the child’s unconscious. Her major stress was that she was not getting importance by her in-laws. She says “It used to stress me out and I used to hyperventilate, shout and scream. I would just cry in anger.” When she would be stressed she says “I always wanted to keep myself busy, it could be any fruitless activity but I always wanted to keep my brain active”.
• She felt let down, not loved. She went in to self-reproach and became destructive
• Tarentula Hispanica* was prescribed to the child in infrequent doses and varying potencies based on child’s physical & mental state. Along with medicines, mother was advised to enroll the child for activities that can channelize his energy e.g. sports, dance etc.

Result:

The Molluscum eruptions from the entire body were gone in less than 6 months. The patient was followed up for sometime to observe for recurrence. More importantly the child’s restlessness, hyperactivity & other behavioral issues were cured. His concentration levels have increased and the frequent colds & cough have gone. Child is currently off treatment since > 1 year and is healthy.
