This case is very close to my heart, it earned me lots of respect plus patient referrals!

Case of 35 year old unmarried female, working as Lead Analyst in well known IT company.
She came on 25th April 2014 with complaints of multiple Alopecia patches and polythene bag full of hair and hope!!

History

She had undergone treatment for Acne Vulgaris by a dermatologist with steroids, local applications and medical peels in October 2013 continued till January 2014. After 7th March, she started with severe itchiness of scalp all over the head and she said it was intolerable. After that she noticed her hair falling in bunch, making a bald patch. She started consulting another dermatologist who started her with Diprovate lotion, Folica hair tincture, Trichoton forte, Omnacortil 30 mg tab.
On 15/4/14 she got severe throat pain, couldn’t eat or swallow solid food. Hot milk ameliorated, during fever she felt like sleeping and sleeping and not used to get up to take bath also. She was treated with antibiotics for this. Even she was investigated and TSH was 8.29.

Analyses of the case

Hunger can’t tolerate
Scalp, itching, hairfall with
Hair fall bunches in
Desires : non veg(chicken, fish, prawns) sweets

Prescribed Sulphur 200 5 doses and SL on 25/4/2014
Followed up after 1 week

She said she got sound sleep and itchiness reduced but hairfall continued asked her to take 3 doses of Sulphur 200


Next follow up on 23/6/2014

She said all old hair coming out but she could notice new hair growth coming too continued with sulphur 200 5 doses


On 14/7/2014, got a boil on Right eye, went off on its own continued with sulphur 200


On 8/9/2014 follow up she got good coat of hair all over the scalp, no bald patch noticed


Continued Sulphur 200 till 7/10/2014, and then gave SL till December 2014
She came for the follow up very happy saying the treatment has helped her get her hair back with improved quality of her hair!!
