The Five Subtle Elements- Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Ether or Space form the basis for all things found in the material creation, from a grain of sand to the complex physiology of every human being.
The elements or the Pancha Maha Bhutas as the Vedas describe them are the fundamental building blocks of the Universe. These 5 elements are the essence of the entire world, both within you and outside, so it is more than essential to connect with them for tapping into the powers of the Universe. It might seem rather surprising but the 5 elements influence behaviour, emotions, and overall health. Balancing these elements in just the right way is the key to a happy and healthy life. If we take some time to understand the elements and relate to them, we can use them to stay in balance physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally.
Power of 5 at Healing Harmony is an integrated program which combines 5 powerful therapies to fast track your holistic health journey.
Each of these 5 powerful therapies represent the 5 elements of the universe and our body. Their roles are invaluable and together they provide rapid, gentle and permanent solution for your disease.
- Homeopathy – Represents Water
- Yoga – Represents Earth
- Meditation – Represents Ether
- Diet – Represents Fire
- Life skill coaching/Counselling – Represents Air
Homeopathy (Water Element): The element of water represents fluid matter and the cohesive principle of nature. In the body, this emerges as nourishment, growth, and lubrication. Homeopathy represents water element as it works on you as a united whole. Unlike other systems of medicine, Homeopathy does not look at the diseased person in parts, i.e. it does not give different medicines for headache and stomach-ache to the same person. Instead it gives one medicine for the whole individual. Moreover, the homeopathic medicines are highly diluted and potentised. The first potency of any remedy consists of 1 drop of remedy in 99 drops of water. The higher the potency, the greater the dilution. The 200th potency will be approximately 1 drop of medicine in a swimming pool full of water.
No one has been able to explain how medicines can act when diluted to enormous limits. Yet, the potencies are found to act very powerfully. It seems that in the process of potentization, stored up energy of the drug is released. Through this process, insoluble, inert and poisonous substances are converted into powerful healing agents.
Yoga (Earth Element): The earth element, represents the solid state of matter and along with water is responsible for the physical constitution of the body. It manifests stability, perseverance and rigidity. The parts such as bones, teeth, cells and tissues are manifestations of the earth. Yoga represents the earth element, as it uses your physical body and works with it to bring health and harmony. Yoga uses the physical element (earth) to unfold the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul. Yoga’s earth element will make you feel grounded, rooted and bring stability.
Meditation (Ether Element): Often referred to as “space,” it is the essence of emptiness. It is the space the other elements fill. Ether has the properties of lightness, airiness and spirituality. It has also been equated by some with the concept of consciousness. Meditation, most obviously represents this element. By its nature, Ether is the absence of properties rather than the properties themselves. It lacks fire’s warmth, so it is cold. It lacks the propulsion of air, so it is still. And it lacks the heaviness of earth and water, so it is light. Ether is also limitless and boundless, so it fills the whole of space. So is meditation. In a more literal sense, meditation is noticing the space between breaths as well as the space around the body, within your body, between your thoughts and actions. Meditation aims at the cultivation of mindful awareness and expanded consciousness.
Diet (Fire Element): Fire is the generator of energy in the body. The fire element powers your capacity for digestion. Everything you encounter, from food to thoughts and emotions, has to be digested and transformed so that it nourishes you. It is this power of being a fuel generator and transformation of which “healthy diet” is representative of. There is a deep connection between what you eat and how you live. By addressing these aspects of your day-to-day life at healing harmony we use diet as one of the key elements to restore you back to health.
Life skill coaching/Counselling (Air Element): Air is the manifestation of movement, freshness, communication and of the intelligence. Air is the power of the mind, the force of intellect, inspiration, imagination. It is ideas, knowledge, dreams and wishes. Air is the element of new life and new possibilities and creativity. Life skill coaching and counselling uses various methods to help people make needed changes in ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. It is a goal based collaborative process, involving a non-judgmental, supportive counselor & life skill coach who works with a client in telling his or her story, bringing in new life and possibilities.
While our primary aim at Healing Harmonyis to give immediate attention to the existing complaints – be it your allergy, migraine, diabetes or depression, the next goal is to restore your immunity to optimal levels to ensure the problem does not recur.
