10 Essential Tips To Stay Healthy While Traveling -

May is the month where most of the Indian traveling takes place due to vacation in schools, colleges and weddings. Traveling is exciting when you are adventure junkie, foodie, when you love traveling and exploring the culture.
But at the same time it can often leaves us stressful due to planning on which place to visit, budget, itinerary, good packages, food etc.
Since we always research about the places to visit in the place where we traveling it’s important to even research about the food availability, their local cuisines, famous eateries and the seasonal availability of food as these would give us incites to their cultural norms, we could take advantage of the nutrients we would get from it. As at times we may not have that variety of foods available around us.
Common mistakes usually we do while travelling are we try to pick up unhealthy options like chips, bhujia etc. while road tripping. We don’t inform the airlines that we would want particular kind of meal over the regular meal served. Other mistakes would be eating at long intervals, unhealthy bingeing, skipping meals, choosing large portions etc.

7 Tips to Avoid these mistakes:
Start Healthy: Make sure that the breakfast is the most healthy and wholesome meal you have consumed which would include whole grain cereals, protein in the form of milk/eggs/ and some fibre in the form of fruits or vegetables.
Hydrate well: We usually forget to carry bottles with us while travelling. Make sure that per person has one bottle of water in their respective bags. To make it more hydrating one also add chia seeds to it.
Bingeing: Vacations are meant to have a bit unhealthy binge but one should also carry some handy options like nuts, dry fruits, fresh fruits, granola bars.
Planning itinerary: Make sure that the itinerary is planned well so that one doesn’t have to skip the meals and also ask the hotel staff if they can make something which can be parcelled and eaten on the way.
Share the dish: It is good to explore the local cuisine but sometimes the portion sizes are very large, instead of ordering too many dishes one should try to share the dishes.
One and done rule: If one of the meal was a cheat meal make sure you eat the other meal which has healthy composition.
Walk: Try to walk for short distances and one can explore the area at the same time.
