What is SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS?
- Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes a red, itchy, and scaly rash, often on the scalp, face, chest, and back. It’s also known as dandruff, cradle cap (in infants), and seborrheic eczema. It is one of the most common causes of stubborn dandruff which does not even go with anti-fungal shampoos and lotions

Symptoms of SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS include:
- Patchy scaling and thick crusts on the scalp
- White or yellowish flaking on the scalp, eyes, forehead, or ears
- Greasy or red skin with scales
- Small red-brown bumps on the skin
- Itching and hair loss
What causes SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS?
- The exact cause of seborrheic dermatitis is not known, but it is thought to be related to an overproduction of oil by the sebaceous glands, which can lead to the growth of a yeast-like fungus on the skin.
- Other factors that may contribute to seborrheic dermatitis include stress, cold weather, hormonal changes, and certain medical conditions such as Parkinson’s disease or HIV/AIDS.
