Cancer, described in simple terms, means an abnormal and uncontrolled growth of cells in the body. This growth can spread to nearby regions and later to distant locations in the body as well. Breast cancer is a type of cancer in which the healthy cells of the breasts become abnormal, grow in an uncontrolled manner, and form tumors. It is the most common type of cancer after cancer of the skin.
